Du’aa for the Oppressed

tacoeur:

رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا فِتنَةً لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا وَاغفِر لَنا رَبَّنا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

Rabbanā lā taj’alnā fitnatan lillatheena kafarū waghfirlanā rabbanā innaka antal azīzul hakīm.

“Our Lord! Do not make us persecuted by those who disbelieve and forgive us, our Lord. Surely You, only You, are the Mighty, the Wise.”

[Surah al-Mumtahinah, Ayah 5]

(via pearlsofislam)

I’ve been going crazy trying to find this! Yay!

saifullah786:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said:

“Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:

‘The first of his actions for which a servant of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers.’ If they are in order, then he will have prospered and succeeded; and if they are wanting, then he will have failed and lost. If there is something defective in his obligatory prayers, the Lord (glorified and exalted be He) will say: ‘See if My servant has any supererogatory prayers with which may be completed that which was defective in his obligatory prayers.’ Then the rest of his actions will be judged in like fashion.”

[At-Tirmidhi (also by Abu Dawud, an-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah and Ahmad).]

Ok, so a while ago, someone told me about this hadith, but they never quoted it or told me where it came from. They just said, “yeah, if you miss your fardh prayers, then on the Day of Judgment, Allah will look at your sunnah, nafl, etc. prayers and then judge your actions.

FINALLY. I found it! Alhamdulillah!

Usually, I open up Bukhari or any other hadith collection book and just flip to a random hadith (or click on a random hadith - if I’m using the online version) and then read the hadith. Ahh I was going through 40 Hadith Qudsi and I clicked on 9 and BAM, I found this hadith.

Alhamdulillah!
